The Double Chair Podcast is Live

Yeah I might get one of the veterans on. I listened to the interview with the NSP director and to the first 2 new Epic episodes. Coordinating recording times with guests is difficult. It undermines my low effort ethos

@Harvey LP Film Festival, Queen of the Catskills is Friday, 31 October, in the block from 9A - 11:30A. As near as I can make out.

Restaurants: I don't eat in Lake Placid. Nothing personal, I just don't live there. Ray Brook Brew House on Route 86 in Ray Brook is good. Pub style food and good beer brewed on premise. The Left Bank, in Saranac Lake, is good. White tablecloth type place. Or Bitters 'n' Bones, or Grizle-T's, both also in Saranac Lake.

Hotel Saranac has multiple options. There's also Forty-Six in Keene, I don't know a lot about that place.

Does anyone know what time Queen is showing in LP on Friday?

Also where should I take my wife to dinner in LP?
Agree with @Peter Minde that the Catskills Queen film is in the morning block on Oct. 31. The block 9:00-11:30 is called Your Shorts Are Showing. Tickets are $15 plus a $2 fee for buying online. Should be in the middle of 10 films.

As for eating in Lake Placid, are you planning to stay until dinner time? Shouldn't be too busy but better to get seated before 6pm if you don't make a reservation.

I like the Forty-Six in Keene. It's pretty small, essentially in a cabin. So usually quiet unless there is a party group celebrating something special.

One of the favorites for my friends who live in LP is Lisa G's. It's busy all the time. Also Salt of the Earth Pub. One advantage of both is that they aren't right downtown. So possible to park close by.

Can't say I've ever had a bad meal in LP in any of the restaurants right in the center of town. Usually just walk around with whoever I'm with and we decide where to eat right then depending on what kind of food we feel like. Note that I've rarely been there on a busy weekend since my daughter graduated from North Country School about ten years ago.

@Harvey just scored a ticket for the Friday morning block with Queen of the Catskills.

With the film showing in the AM, we'll get lunch and then come home.
