The Double Chair Podcast is Live

Thanks Marz. Good points. I think next year, if we keep it up, we’ll have to do a spring version to highlight some of the early purchase options.

I am considering a ski movie rundown for part of an upcoming episode- to include some dates and locations for tour stops. Maybe we’ll review some trailers. MSP, TGR and Warren Miller are the low hanging fruit. What am I missing? I’ve kind of lost touch with who else is still doing full length movies and tours and things. Anybody know any upstarts or amateurs we should be looking at?

Yeah Broski, I think the old ski movie thing has changed a bunch. It’s all about edits now on different types of media. Lots of powder, spins and drones. Yawn. Just give me some Blizzard of AAHHH’s on VHS.

If you’re looking to promote some more localized content, last year there was a cool Indy Pass film and Variable by the Kennard bros. I see something coming up now this year about the Queen of the Catskills.

Here’s one; tell me if this has been done to death already…
Best/ favorite/ reviews scripted ski movies over the years. As in Aspen Extreme V Hot Dog the Movie V Ski School V Downhill Racer V Out Cold etc… Category 2 will be best ski segment in an otherwise non- ski movie as in For Your Eyes Only V Jackie Chan’s First Strike V Better Off Dead V Inception. Or additional movies in either category if I’m missing some

Thanks
The Kennards and Queen are definitely on my radar- working on that. I’m actually hoping to go to one of the screenings if I can.

If we can't get a screening in North Creek, I'm going to Placid on 10/31.

@Harvey which movie is in LP on 10/31? Queen of the Catskills is playing in Burlington on 11/1.

Those were all really cool BTW.

I'm looking at the LP Film Festival web site, and it's not in the schedule. Perhaps the schedule is still incomplete. It's in Burlington on 1 November but, I'd prefer not to drive that far.
