So it begins

The first Wind Turbine Farm in NYS has been blown up after 25 years. Yes, the blades are supposedly being recycled, but the massive towers themselves are being taken to various landfills across the state. What's next? More turbines, solar panels, batteries? Time will ultimately tell the true cost of being "green".

Lol your such a barbarian. How are the people making out in Pennsylvania where they are fracking? It ran for 25 years and was a prototype. They were pulled down and the environment is non the worse.
I don't see the problem with them.

LoL

I take issue with this whole "green" energy. It's not green rather it's alternative.
The amount of petroleum needed to build, maintain, and dispose of these massive turbines is insane. I wonder what the net gain was and if it was worth it. No talk of replacing these so maybe it isn't worth it. I don't know.

They’re pushing the natural gas to make juice to power the bitcoin mine along Seneca Lake”s northwest shore,
Also the big ass plastic gas cracker north of Pittsburg is humming along.

Camp, I have mulitiple times sent you links on these forums to the studies showing (that at least as to electric vehicles), it is a green alternative. There is a deficit on the first 18000 miles or so during which an EV catches up to and ICE. Then it is pretty much gravy unless you live in west virginia, in which case an ev is dirtier because the electric is dirtier, assuming you do not have solar.

The batteries are recyclable (for example there are pilots taking batteries that dont have enough density anymore for EVs and using them to store solar energy).

All good in the hood, but the 'science' says they are green vs. ICE (except for West Virginia if you don't have solar).

I'm not referring to vehicles, yet time will ultimately tell us there as well.

I can't stand our countryside being used for these turbine farms and solar farms. I'd much rather look at trees and fields. Heck, most local governments and residents are against them and don't want them. When state and federal government starts to push an idea, I get very skeptical.
The town I live in doesn't allow solar farms. A buddy of mine is trying to get one put in on some of his property. They won't approve it and I say good for them.

You said you don't like when government gets involved and In the very next sentence you contradicted yourself.
Which is it Mr Bunyan?
