Sweet Cars and Trucks

Mercedes
He's in Germany, right?
Where are the pics of the badass Benz runners.
We were in Bavaria, way out in the country near the Czech border. I saw very few S class Mercedes or 7 series BMWs. Lots of E class Mercedes with 2.0 liter motors. Lots of smaller Mercedes, BMWs, and Audis that don't get brought over here to preserve the mystique of the "prestige brand."

Ya wouldn't believe how many tiny econoboxes blew by us on the autobahn, and were were doing 90.

Just landed in DC and headed for customs. Pray for me.

The Outback ran sweet at 33mpg on the round trip to Columbia SC for The Masters recently.
Only filled up 3 times round trip when I stopped to also get coffee. I alsohadtogopee.
Was it made in Indiana? It’s a ’19.

Yeah OB's are great !!!!

The Queen of the Hop n me are on our 2nd Outback Limited.

It's strictly our distance travel car it's a 2018 with 31k on odometer, on trips in summer to Cape or Maine or the Mtns we typically get 37 mpg on cruise set at 68.

Our daily driver is a 2014 Rav XLE with 82.5 k on it ..Great car too .. it gets 30 mpg in summer 27 in winter . We use it primarily as daily driver or trips around NNY at under 150 miles round trip . It's pristine yet still on original exhaust system, plugs etc .. just have replaced brake pads and one set of rotors and tires battery and wipers ...runs really quiet for an 11 yr old vehicle .

At 82 in a couple of weeks ,😲 I doubt we'll be in the market again since both of these vehicles IF properly serviced should get 250 k and given our yrly average that should carry us

Always drove Saabs mostly 900 turbos had a few other Celica GTs too but OB IS my sweet spot 😉

I need to write that hearse into my will along with the luncheon playlist...

My neighbors had one when I was growing up. I never got the chance to drive it ☹️
Had a little brown VW rabbit I bought used from someone at the Columbus AFB while at Ole Miss. Fun little car. It made a few round trips to The UpState from Oxford. Finally rusted out after several winters up here. Lots of fun miles & with FWD, stick shift and snows was great in the snow unless it was so deep it bottomed out.
