It’s been on my bucket list to see, in person, a world class downhill race. I know the University Games aren’t WC FIS downhill but I’m excited to see the Super G. Does anyone know the trails that will be used for the Super G competition?

I've been at Whiteface once when they ran a Super G. It was the same as the usual race trail, but starting at the top of Upper Parkway, and extending below the normal finish further down Fox. Typically they only run Super G races on weekdays.

That's the Men's Downhill Course, which can still be skied in its entirety today. From the summit, it's Paron's-Cloudspin-Niagara-Victoria-Broadway-Lower Valley.

The Women's Downhill Course was Upper Skyward-Lower Skyward-Easy Street-Boreen-Ladies' Bridge-Lower Valley.

Due to sporadic openings of Upper Cloudspin, it's much more common to be able to ski the women's course. I hope that will change with the snowmaking upgrade. The major variable is whether the pipes are still operable. They were last used in 2011.

There have actually been a shocking number of trail changes to the summit pod, that will be its own thread at some point. Additionally, I cannot for the life of me find any footage of the original summit lift, though I'm pretty sure it was a center-pole Riblet. It was replaced by the current lift in 1997.

There’s 2 lift named “Summit” having both being removed in 1997 in @Peter's database.
He’s the lift guru.
One’s listed as a Riblet double the other is a "fill in the blank” triplet.

It's possible that the double was converted to a triple at some point. I still can't find pictures of either.

I think I’ve seen pics of a center pole Riblet with no safety bar. Don’t know where I saw them
West before all the improvements had Riblets , but those had safety bars

This link will show you which trails are "homologated." That is, certified for FIS competition. Homologations
