Winter Weather 22/23

What’s the deal for Friday? Is this one of those “get it today or tomorrow cause it’ll be gone” deals?

(Not that the snow will all disappear immediately… but a melting warm up or a rain groom might destroy the nice pow turns that people will be getting tomorrow)

It's definitely going to rain, although higher terrain in the north will gain some snow before the changeover, and some snow will fall on the backside of the storm on Saturday.

I'm based in Saugerties and can confirm clear roads. No snow accumulation in my yard, I-87 (exits 19-20) clear, side roads in my area (e.g. routes 32, 23, 212) are all clear this afternoon.

On the other hand, Windham was reporting 20" by 3 this afternoon (and still snowing) and I can confirm, I left around 1pm and at that point there was about 17" on the ground. Crazy storm, rain/snow line worked out perfectly. Have a great day, everyone skiing tomorrow!!!

It's not looking good for the weekend. Rain Friday afternoon/night then temps dip below freezing just before Sunrise Sat and don't raise much. Not much chance to groom if any before it sets up. Not seeing much snow on backside either.

Not going to rain much but probably enough to firm it all up. Definitely on the ungroomed

Thank you for this @bluemountain.

@Scottski63 and I were talking, we both believe that big storms exit faster than forecast 24 hours out.

Honestly i don't have the skis for this much snow.
