@jasonwx ... do you see any chance for lake effect after christmas in any part of NY?
maybe around snow ridge.. just for a day or so after xmas
then a pretty significant warm up

Lots of winter left, well. all of it ;)
Yup lots of winter left. I blame myself for being a first time Ikon holder for what's supposed to happen :ROFLMAO:

The good news for my region (Roc) is that it's not going to take temps 50-60, but maybe 45 and only briefly. However upper 30's rain still sucks. Then the flash freeze is a concern for people traveling on Friday. Then the cold, wind and even minimal snow is going to make for some really dicey conditions-- blizzard like--- Friday evening and Saturday in Western NY. Hopefully the ski mountains can capitalize on the single digit cold and get guns running at full capacity to save next week.

As for the warm up mid next week, BUF NWS is saying "While the very cold weather will persist into Monday...sfc based ridging should help to at least lessen the potential for additional significant lake snows later Monday into Tuesday. Possible that conditions moderate more significantly by middle of next week, but not surprisingly, not a clear signal yet."

I stumbled upon a weather YouTube channel Ryan Hall. Do any of you weather junkies know if he's worth following?
