I checked the base and summit cam's at both Pico and Sugarbush, and it's been snowing at both for a while now.

Sticks are freshly waxed and ready to go!

Looks like American has some flights leaving tonight for ABQ as of now.
Interesting, but I'm not that desperate. Especially since my friends who haven't left home yet aren't getting to ABQ until late on Friday.

AA just cancelled my Boston friend's flight itinerary to ABQ. Don't know yet what alternative she'll end up with.

The folks flying out of Nashville were rebooked via Denver. So far, going through Denver is what's working for people flying SW to ABQ this week. MDW and DAL flights are what have been cancelled.

To get back to NY weather, the Weather Channel people were making a big deal of the probably 12-18" in the NY mountains.

Getting from ABQ to Taos won't be an issue. Idea is to get to ABQ and get the rental car to drive with someone else. This trip involves 9 people coming from 6 states and sharing multiple cars. Very unusual to have so many airports in multiple regions impacted. We are the people from a bigger group who want to ski on Sat as a warm up for a Taos Ski Week (6 morning lessons) that starts on Sun.

Dallas is how Raleigh can be with icy road conditions. It shuts down. Freezing rain is a lot worse than snow. Frozen slush will be on the roads in the morning . . . when I have to try to get back to the airport.
I wish you luck ASAP. The FlightAware misery map tells the story. I missed getting caught up in this by less than 12 hours leaving SLC. We were originally scheduled to fly home Weds afternoon then on Tuesday morning they rebooked us on alternative Weds flights to avoid ORD. Then early Tuesday evening they canceled our rebooked flight out of Newark. Thankfully we scrambled and made the Tuesday night red eye, otherwise we couldn't have made it back to ROC until Saturday at the earliest.

Good luck!
