Drove through town right before this happened on Saturday after skiing at Oak. Stopped by Sunday to see the aftermath. State DOT had about 20 dump trucks in a convoy clearing the banks along Route 12 all day. The Town recycling center's roof partially collapsed on Monday. Pretty intense weather lately between the massive snow and the tornados.

They never got a break from the snow to get caught up. And when they did it rained which did nothing but add more weight. Talk about the perfect storm.

Snapped this one on Cold Brook road taking a longer way home yesterday, It is before and near a high point between The Otisco Valley & Skaneateles Lake.

Eventhough the snow was softening at Lab there was snow still drifting up top near here.
Some fields were wind scoured to the bone with mega drifts nearby.
Also observed were several large trees that lost big limbs or had fallen. Too much wind sucks.

I'm thinking we get 2 storms in March. We always do. The snow pack is still incredible so we'll be good to go.

When the North Atlantic stops circulating there's supposed to be a mini ice-age in the northern hemisphere, or at least in Europe. Maybe we are there.

I hope you're right. The 10 day forecasts that I saw aren't promising. Big temperature swings. Grateful for the winter we've had so far.

Not a bad bet. Some of our biggest snow storms in history have come in March.
