Winter Weather 2024/25

Just starting to mix in Saratoga Springs. Decided to hunker down, the snow is dense and not worth the danger to ski on. The winds on the back side kill tomorrow as well.

Had a few inches of snow yesterday, & it’s drizzling but appears to be slightly above freezing.
Evergreens still have snow stuck to em. Bushes have Maybe a 0.1” ice on em. Hope it gets warm enough to get some weight off things before the howling starts.
Lights flickered once before daylight. Road looks just wet.

edit: 5 minutes later it’s wet snowing now..

It's snowing at the Snow Bowl, but the winds are already whipping on the western side of the Green's, so wind holds are plentiful.

Yikes. I notice temperatures aren't gonna rise enough to melt any ice. Unfortunately it's gonna be the wind that shakes the ice and branches off the trees and wires.

In CNY wind is supposed to ramp up so might help shake some weight loose before the bigger gusts come. Hope it doesn’t shake it onto things of value.

Just finished shoveling the driveway. Snowing so dang hard, I might not get out to ski.
