Winter Weather 20/21

ACCUWEATHER, et al are now showing a major rain event for NYE/NYD.

You nailed it again.
Hold on to your hats
I'm going to back off on the Major rain for thurs..the models are are devloping a low on the front that might shunt some of the warm air...I'm not saying there will be a snow event..As of now there is less of a chance for a gully washer...

But the over all long term still doesn't look good

Agreed hopefully we can have the cold front pass by Thursday with a wave along the front for Friday. Long term the pattern is in a state of flux, it doesn’t look horrible but not great either

Go west....if you can...while we can? PNW to get hammered over the next ten days (La Nina! 90+ inches in the Baker forecast)....and toward the end of next week much of that energy will start dropping into the Sierra and Rockies, with atmospheric rivers potentially coming into play.

We are still lacking any real cold air and that looks to continue for the next two weeks. However, we may just be cold enough to start building a base. No shortage of storms. We have tonight, Friday night, Sunday night...I think we may add a foot over these three events. This is for the dacks into northern Vermont. Temps look marginal south of Glens Falls

Hey Gore, Greek and West locals what is happening up there right now? A little snow coming down, other kinds of frozen precipitation or something worse?
