Winter Weather 20/21

OK what do we got here? Not seeing much on the horiz. Time to be a good husband and father for a while? Bank it for spring skiing?

I'm wondering how much mountains have actually blown this year?
It looks pretty warm into mid March. Embrace the spring skiing! I know I froze my tookus off for most of the season.

I always focus on northern Daks, as that is where we always make last turns. While temps certainly look to trend above normal thru mid-March, I haven’t yet seen any indication of major warm ups. Some low 40s for a few days here and there to start cooking corn wouldn’t be horrible, Avoiding 50s, fog, and gully washers is the key....and then maybe a March storm somewhere.

Like Rambo said nothing is over you just don’t turn it off, Killington will still be making snow it’s a good time to get other stuff done if needed then be ready for big snow storm the 3rd week in March ❄️❄️❄️

One thing I don’t like about the weather right now.....it’s the same temp in NYC as it is at Whiteface. That’s just wrong this time of year. That kind of widespread mild air mass seems very spring-y. Too soon for that!

The CNY 7 day has abruptly changed. 4 to 5 inches of snow by Monday night. After tomorrow, the only day above 30 is Wednesday at 38f. Otherwise below freezing to next Sunday.

The weather calms down and dries out after Tuesday’s wind event.

Off to Platty for a group rental day. It’s gonna be great. Rain will end early, maybe before the lifts turn, and the snow will be soft! If I say it enough times it will happen, right?
