Zero in Lake George while heavy snow just up the road, elevation storm is mid January, pretty rare

The weather here in CNY has been weird. There has been about a five degree difference between the overnight low and the daytime high. While some people are happy about it, I am not. We need the cold to nuke the bugs. Next summer's bug season is going to be a killer if we don't get some serious cold. And, then there's the fact that it's been too warm to put my flannel sheets on. 
At least up at WF, seasonable could be good. Even if it just stays cold, a little snow here and there, things will stay nice and shape up well, for a while at least. Not a very good base out there so don’t expect a great spring unless we get some decent snow, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be some good skiing.
