Very cool @JTG. Their numbers have really exploded. Growing up you would only hear about an occasional sighting from a hunter sitting in their tree stand. Now they are seemingly being sighted everywhere in people’s backyards. I think it may have something to do with the introduced Eastern Cottontail as their numbers have also exploded in recent years replacing our native New England Cottontail.
I accidentally hit a rabbit hiding in the grass with the mower last year and a bobcat quickly emerged with a dinner invitation. A week later she was back on the hunt when I was mowing. This time I had my phone with me. Sorry about the pic quality but I stayed far away. I saw her wait, stalk and pounce and was able to get the kill strike on video. They are amazing creatures.
