Who's Got Bumps in NY?

Seeing as I have two season passes right now, I'm planning on starting out at Platty, and if they don't have any bumps make my way over to Belle in the afternoon. Skiing two mountains in the same day would be a bucket list day for me.

Skied bumps all day at Belleayre yesterday (25th). Bump runs on the upper mountain all had good coverage and decent moguls: Yahoo and Winasook wall to wall, Tongora looked good (didn't ski it). More than half the width of upper Belleayre Run was bumps, the most I've seen them leave there. That short section of Wanatuska above the Overlook lodge was all bumps. Belleayre Run below the upper section and down to Overlook was going fast. The lower part was already gone. Maybe all of the intermediate section of bumps is gone by now. It was in the 70s yesterday with running water and large gray patchs showing up on the lower mountain. Route 9 was bottlenecked in a couple of spots but maybe they could fix that. If they run #7 that wouldn't matter anyway (access to Yahoo). Otherwise Superchief. Bad section on Tomahawk Crossover between the Tomahawk lift loading area and the small parking lot. It was brown slop mixed with stones. This was what it was like on Thursday. I have no idea about conditions this weekend. Hope this helps you decide.

Looks like Gore is grooming everything. Hopefully some of the other trails that are marked as closed will be left ungroomed and will open later in the day.

What Gore reports now will change. The base is a mess so they have some work to do. It all depends on when the cold air gets here and how cold it gets. I plan on being there in some kind of Scot Schmidt reggae 80's thing but not early. I can't believe they would break out the winch cat so there should be bumps on Rumor. Just depends on if it ever softens. I doubt they will leave topridge ungroomed though.

I'll definitely be at Belle tomorrow for day 35 looking maybe like my last day.

Went to Belle today. Tongora has small bumps, but excellent coverage. B-run's are getting pretty thin (aka dirt in the valleys) about halfway down the mountain (top part is good). Winnisook was good except for one spot. Yahoo was awesome on Sunday, but didn't make it over there today.
