I didn't see any South Americans at Whiteface this weekend, so I think the rumor about them not being there is probably true. The clearance issue at the new lift would have been discovered and corrected when they did load testing, so I think that one is false.

Empire was open today. Haven't seen that this early in recent memory. It's a shame (embarrassing ) they can't get LWF going.

No surprise WF is closed today. Snow report said they had a wind gust of 111 mph! And the power was out sometime early am but was back on before 9 am.

Great packed powder conditions today with deep powder in the trees.some spots were a little wind blown but definitely more packed powder conditions than ice. Excellent day with the boys.
