Whiteface Conditions

Interesting. However if lift tickets are $300 at many of the MC mountains not sure what that's really worth. Would rather just have a discount on the MC pass itself
I was just talking about this with Freebird. It’s most likely 50% off the walk up window rate. If you were to go to Big Sky for four days of skiing you might save just as much buying a multi day pass online in advance.

Also, it seems MC is good for Ski3 passholders and not for those with a Whiteface only pass.

This appears to be a play for ORDA to try and compete with the mega pass mountains while trying to drive more people to Whiteface. ORDA should increase the existing pass perks with NY ski areas that they already have and promote the SANY pass that hardly anyone knows about. Take off the restriction of 25 people. NYS should be sending skiers to places like McCauley and Snow Ridge not Alta and Aspen.

Yup.

It seems ya can’t even purchase a Gore only season pass, but both other ORDA bumps, WF& Belle, offer the options.Gore used to sell Gore only passes cause I bought a M-F non holiday Gore only season pass when I first retired.

Yup.
Seems to be a play for sending more high roller resort groupies to overnight in Lake Placid.

not for those with a Whiteface only pass. With what they charge for the WF only pass it would be nice to make it available, it's not like it would cost them anything.

Nice job ORDA, way to look out for the locals.

They offer a discounted uphill pass to appease them. From 6-8:30am Wed, Fri and Sat, not including the blackout dates, starting Jan 3, for $59 instead of $129. What a deal.

Windham’s uphill pass is $60 and is good every day, even during operating hours and as long as there is daylight.

Platty, free for passholders on closed terrain.

Belleayre, free midweek for passholders.

Hunter, free to anyone before opening.

Catamount, $50 full season and free for passholders, starting at 6:30am, during day and night operating hours.

Mohawk, free to anyone during day and night operating hours.

I can't remember, was it the MAX pass Gore was on? Was Whiteface on it too?

Does Whiteface often reach capacity? Curious how much of an impact on crowding this will have. I guess Whiteface has less locals then Gore and Belle though

So they only offer the local pass with blackout dates and then they give the mountain to a mega pass with no blackout dates? That’s wild.

At least the locals have pass perks like $2.75 hot cocoa all winter and half off one Belleayre Beach boat rental in the summer.

Uphilling is gonna be part of the 2026 Winter Olympics in a few months.
Lake Placid’s Olympic-RDA folks should throw UpHillers a bone.
