What is your resort’s brand?

I think Smuggs has done an incredible job at branding themselves a family resort. You see that advertised all over the place. Years ago they picked their lane and have stayed with it.

That said we all know there's totally rad terrain there as well. As for branding they've done an amazing job imo.

Agree with Face & Brownski. In order to have a brand, don't you have to know who your competition is? It seems that WF's competition is more about competing for government dollars than saying, "the people who ski here will also ski at resorts X, Y and Z. How can we do better than X, Y and Z and prove to those skiers that they should come here instead?"
Hunters brand is Ski Hard and Party Hard, not necessarily in that order.
I've never skied Hunter, but this is funny. It seems to be the prevailing sentiment about that place. I can picture a bunch of knuckleheads wearing hard hats with built-in beer can holders hacking their way down the steepest pitch there.

I agree about Smuggs on both counts. They know how to communicate. Magic and MRG are two other positive examples in my opinion. They know who they are and who their customers are and their messaging is always on point

Bristol-biggest vertical drop between the Catskills/Adirondacks and the Rockies. Also know for their freestyle program with several alumni on the US Ski team.

LOL...well..when the firemen come for their annual race the place does get littered with beer cans. Once ran into a kid with an entire quart of Jack in his jacket..he offered me some...i declined..and wondered how that was going to feel when he crashed on top of it.
Its image is a bit exaggerated..its a very good mountain .

That ^^ and ancient lifts are what Smugg's brand is to me, similar to Magic (even though I only have three lifetime days at Smugg's). When I see all the families, it feels off but that's what keeps their lights on, not the expert skiers.
Ancient lifts plus big liftlines plus frostbite from the long, slow lifts is their brand to me. It is a great place for nostalgia.

Terry peak in South Dakota also claims 1200 feet and seems to be 1164 feet and Bristol seems to be actually 1150 feet.;)
Terry Peak does top out at 7064 feet above sea level.

Stowe...whats in your wallet? better be big credit card...LOL...
