Junior and I got out today to break in our Indy Passes at West. I’ve only been to West maybe a half dozen times I think. It’s always fun. I like how the place is so close to downtown Glens Falls and the Thruway. It’s right in the middle of a suburban neighborhood.
It was not a powder day by any means. The big storms so far this year have missed West for the most part. They have a good snowmaking system though. They’ve gotten enough open to have a fun day on.
West is known for its robust racing program. There was lots of racing happening.
This guy was taking pictures as the racers went by. He had an actual camera- not just a phone. Must have been serious.
We were not there to race though- just to ski.
They were making snow- seemed like they were doing their best to expand terrain
Some of the snow was on the firm side but not icy
We had fun. Of course we left enough time for a little side trip on the way home
