Two Scoops and Other Broken Promises

This has been bugging me for a long time. Yet somehow it doesn't seem worthy of the Ugh Thread.

I googled it. I am not alone:

While I'm 99% sure that pic is faked, still I want more raisins, like the old days.

This was a social contract, a promise of raisins, two scoops, for a lifetime.

Anyone else concerned about dropping raisin levels?

I think it’s a stealth way food companies use to fight inflation. Keeps them from having to pass on a cost increase to the consumer. Not a regular cereal guy, but I have noticed over past few years the Smuckers jelly for my kids sandwich’s has gotten much thinner/more watery. Just makes a mess at this point. Same thing with mustard. Seems like colored water sometimes.

I would pay extra for Raisin Bran Premium with TWO SCOOPS.

I’m sorry about your raisins Harv. Hopefully they don’t skimp on the fiber too.

Actually they’re doing you a favor by lowering your carbs.
I eat two bowls now because I feel raisin deprived.

Also this doesn't piss me off as bad as raisin bran, but have you noticed the sleezy migration by POLAND SPRING?

Now it's just "Born in Maine."

They still use a map of Maine, but if you read, you learn the brutal truth.

Like I said the raisin bran is worse.

Someone already traveled that road.

I’m partial to Golden Raisins, I used to add my own. Unfortunately I’m pre diabetic so I gave up cereal in general. Haven’t found a Keto type I like.

F that, steel cut add all the raisins, walnuts and maple syrup you can handle

I do add raisins, it's not the same. It's pretty good and much better, but not as good as the ole two scoop days.
