Today's Ride

that's hell of a root...lol
This was on the "Dragline" trail, the cable kept resurfacing for at least a quarter mile. Lot's of bizarro landscape features and mining artefacts throughout the maze of trails and mining roads serving the old anthracite mines that operated from the late 1800's through the '50's, now PA State Forest Land

Trails wet so I rode gravel and back roads with my MTB buddy tonight. He was on his gravel bike and me on the Turbo Levo emtb. 17.5 miles, 1,000ft of vert using 26% battery.

Absolutely beautiful evening.

Don't need a gravel bike as a casual gravel rider and have an eMTB. Plus it takes up less space in the garage 😁

Cheers to Big Jim, a few weekends ago I went on a leisurely Saturday afternoon cruise and hit two breweries in 24 miles...

Sounds like my kind of ride. Wife and I will often end a ride with a stop at a brewery. Probably will do so this weekend after the rain stops.

This was after our Keuka outlet trail ride a couple weekends ago. Tin Barn brewery overlooking Seneca lake. That one on the left is a Melted Gelato Orange, Peach, Mango, Creamsicle. While I'm primarily an IPA and Stout guy I do appreciate sampling creativity like that! 😁

Is anyone familiar with the MTB trails that aren't on the map at gore? Not asking to share secret spots if something is truly local, but from riding around it looks like there is more than on trail forks at both little and lift served gore. I am open to exploring but time has been limited lately.

Haven't been there to ride but I've always wondered the same. Your question prompted me to look beyond Trailforks, so browsed Komoot. I too would be interested, so hoping someone else can chime in.

Komoot there's a trail called Ridge Runner Glades...Say's "Expert mountain bike ride. Good fitness required. Advanced riding skills necessary. Some portions of the route may require you to push your bike" 9 miles and 1050ft.
Singletrack: 5.95 mi
Street: 1.37 mi
Road: 0.75 mi
State Road: 0.93 mi

Komoot again, this one looks more like a gravel/road ride, there's a loop called Mill Creek Fishing Access loop says "Intermediate mountain bike ride. Good fitness required. Suitable for all skill levels" 21 miles w/1300 ft of ascent.
Natural: 2.64 mi
Unpaved: 9.41 mi
Gravel: 0.27 mi
Paved: 2.48 mi
Asphalt: 6.82 mi
