Today's Ride

Nice 7.5 mi, 733ft ascent ride tonight. Used 16% battery. Most riding in eco mode. Trails were nice plus beautiful weather. My wife's first ride of the year so it was extra nice.

Chickpea salad with dinner afterwards 😋

If I wasn't moving in 2 months I'd drag a saw out here and cut this thing up, for now though I'm just climbing over it

Nice! Where is that? All it's done in the ROC area is rain so we're riding wet gravel and back roads.

Central NJ. A 16 mile loop in a 1600 acre preserve, it's the only ride I've ever posted pics from in this thread. The loop starts at my house. I've probably ridden it 1000 times in 5 years.

Also what are those white tubes for?

Those are trees to replace ash and other species impacted by invasive species. The tubes keep deer from eating the shoots.

Yesterday when I rode past this same spot there were 5 trees planted. There were two extremely charming young female arborists getting it done. They told me they were interns, for who I'm not exactly sure. They seemed genuinely happy to be doing it. Inspiring.
