Today's Ride

Trail recon ride on the trails by my house. Lots of mud, water and fallen trees on trails. The dead Ash trees have really had an adverse impact. Dead trees don't soak up water and they've fallen everywhere. Some areas are almost deforested. Sad.

10 miles 20% battery about 500 ft ascent. Could have used less but I wanted to fly up a steep hill on the road by my home so I used Turbo

Cool build on that bridge.

I can’t help but notice and share my appreciation, being a trail builder is a curse and a blessing.

Whaddyagunnado? Fuhgettaboutit.
there is a cooler bridge i forgot to take a pic of, next ride i'll post

I walk all kinds of stuff now.

There is one spot on my ride, where there is a steep bank you have to get up after a sharp turn, so you really have to stomp on it to get up. I can do it, or I could a year ago. Now it just doesn't seem worth pulling a groin for it.

There is also a bridge with no railing and it's at a SLIGHT angle to the trail. It's just a small hop to get up, but if the wood is the slightest bit damp, I walk it. One time a few years ago, I didn't, and I was REALLY lucky I didn't get hurt. Front tire slid out, I went head first into the culvert, with my bike landing on top of me.

NEVER again.

ugh maybe one day I'll learn, I hate walking my bike or taking my skis off
