The Generations of Music

Do Zoomers hate Simon and Garfunkel as much as they hate the Beatles? Asking as a millennial who had to replace all his pants because they were too skinny ?.
I like Simon and Garfunkel
Don't like the Beatles -- they're weird
Can't stand the Stones --- Mick Jagger can't carry a tune in a wheelbarrow
Like the Who
Never was Dead Head --- Ever
My jam is Rush ?
Alice in Chains must be played LOUD!

So many great bands
Like picking your fav child
Some days you like one more the the other?
I’ve seen them all in one form or another.

Do you know Spiegel Willcox? Speig was a friend of mine, we used to hunt deer together at his house in German. What an incredible man he was. Too many stories.
Doesn’t ring my bell but I’ll ask a friend that played in a band at frat parties at SU when he was just 16 if he knew him.
He told me some stories this summer of him playing sax at parties on the hill in the 60s. His father had a horn band too.
They all must’ve crossed paths.

The Beatles and Stones hit when I was in college . Music then was boring .formulaic and gimiky . Anybody remember the myriad imitators perhaps the worst of which was the Sir Douglas quintet who purported to be from England but were four rednecks from Texas ??. Led by Doug Sahm

As an undergrad planning a big weekend for Senior week we couldn't afford the Beach boys so we hired these bozos. Strictly one hit wonders they're biggie was She's about a Mover

Well Dougie and the boys tried their damnedest to keep their wigs adjusted and their phony British accents under control it was a disaster ?????

Me I'm a guitarist I like it loud and proud give me AC/DC, GNR,steppenwolf and my guys from across the River : RUSH
