The end of an era: Powder mag is done.

I trade for content, and it is well worth it!! ;)

I used to be in the magazine biz. I'm living off a pension it's funding.

Time Inc., at one point the largest magazine publisher in the world, maybe the largest print publisher, doesnt exist anymore. Time printed 4 million copies a week, Sports Illustrated 3 million, I think People was about 4.5 million. They used 7 printing plants in America. The company has been dead for a few years. Conde Nast exists only because the wealthy family that owns and controls it hasn't pulled the plug, yet. Nobody wants to buy these properties except for rich hedge fund guys who want a side gig, like Bezos at WAPO or Benioff at Time. The internet killed print.
Look at TGR. It's free. And yet, there is an enormous amount of shared knowledge in that forum. Tech talk alone. Tell me where I can access all that in another place.

If you get your news from Unofficial Networks, you will always be late to the party. Two other threads have been started on this topic already.

I'v been crazy busy at work and was unable to read through recent threads before I posted. I beg your forgiveness, SBR.
