I’m pretty sure that the whole Appalachia mountain range was one of if not THE largest and highest mountains in the world at one time.
It was written when we hiked awesome shawgunk mtn range in 2014 it said big over 10'000to 20,000+ elevation millions of years ago

Sure is, or was - used to be a lot more. You're looking at the Broad Mountain, home of the infamous American Standard. Jim Thorpe was an east coast mtb mecca in the 80-90's. It's all SGL and the game commission never welcomed mtb. A lot of its been ruined, the rest not maintained much anymore. I still get up there maybe once every other season or so for old times sake.
