The 10 year old boy, who looked woefully out of his depth, was basically unscathed after the fall.

His dad, who skied the thin cover rather than the slide path, exacerbated it. But, truth be told, if my son was just swept away like that I'd probably panic too and race down what seemed like a safer line like a madman.

Terrible planning and gameplan. Dad got really f'ed up apparently. The son was ok. Glad they're alive for sure.

Note to self: Don't ski high av in Slovakia mid afternoon in May.

No, the vid does stick at about 2:20.

That is terrifying. You can see snow starting to slough before the main slide goes.

The plan does seem a bit nuts.
