Leaves have gradually been changing color for a couple of weeks. 37 degrees at 7A this morning. Cat snuggled with me all night, it had to be cold.

How come the US .gov drought map for NY looks like a duck?

Looks like Wednesdays rain only morphed the duck into a sphinx.

The NE drought map.

Cow Hampshire, Vt and most of Maine are dry now.

Could be some dry snowmaking ponds in places until it gets wet again. They got a couple months before before the season starts.

Fire danger is high in my part of the world. Streams and rivers are quite low.

Central Jerze and south should be getting some significant rain but not lookin good anywhere north. Seems to be a reversal of last fall's drought.
