Flash flooding in central NC the last week or so. Got 3 inches in my yard from the latest downpour early this morning.

I had a half hour ride home in a deluge and a few times shut off my wipers just for comparison. I started using Rain X fluid and could literally see almost as well with them off.

The recent flash flooding in Durham raised the Eno River higher by a couple feet than when Hurricane Fran went right over the Triangle in 1996. The Eno River State Park has been growing for decades as riverside property became available to be purchased and added to the park.

Suspension bridge at Eno River State Park heavily damaged after Tropical Storm Chantal

The storm caused the Eno River to set a new flooding record. The entire park is closed until further notice. Park officials are asking for the public’s patience as they continue damage assessment.

Daaaaamn, it's nice and cool in SL this morning after yesterday's rain. Even better this am, NY Mesonet lows, Lake Placid 38, Gabriels 39, Old Forge 39. Great sleeping temps. Left the window open last night, woke up freezing, had to throw a blanket on.
