A hundred and seventeen today in Phoenix. Ya can cook without a stove.
When I left Phoenix three weeks ago ( 99° ) I passed a pickup truck that had a bunch of palm leaves that had spontaneously combusted.

Flagstaff was a delightful 75° with 12% humidity. Elevation, elevation, elevation.

Welcome to the end of the wet cool spring.
Now it’s onto hot fun in the summertime.
Hopefully you don’t need a new AC system, there’s major problems created by our wonderful government.
A phase out of R-410a , Two refrigerants are replacements . One of the refrigerants chosen by major manufacturers is scarce and prices have skyrocketed.
This transition was years in the making, Honeywell owns the patent.
So service your old equipment!

I'm sure they say the same about North East winters, but I don't get how anyone can live in that.

I was in Tucson once, not for me
They hide from the heat like we hide from the cold. At least we can dress for cold and enjoy outdoor activities. They can't undress enough to enjoy 110+ degrees.

ya not only are the new new refrigerants more expensive but also apparently have a higher flame spread rating and require refrigerant lines to be run in fire rated chases commercially. I'm sitting on 200+ mini split systems for the better part of a year to be able stay with the R-410a

Yup.

As the old saying goes:
Skiing is the most fun ya can have with yer clothes on.

Skiing is also fun with no clothes.

The whole premise of the phase out was to help the environment.
So now every HVAC service truck in the US will be carrying considerable extra weight. R-32, R454b new recovery equipment to deal with the flammability AL2 safety issue. The new equipment has refrigerant dissipation controls so if there’s a leak it disperses the vapor. So extra transportation and manufacturing eats up any earth friendly intentions.
Yeah geniuses…….

Since we're posting nekkid skiing, Happy Summer Solstice!
