How is that different than the kooky computer gen forecast? I always use the low end, anyway. So kooky computer gen, local Open Snow forecasters, Mountain Forecast, heck…even NOAA and Whether Channel…all have 8+ inches into Saturday for Northern areas before mixing/changing, with Northern NY/VT having best chance to maintain snow through Saturday evening depending on where the frontal boundary sets up.you looked at the kooky computer gen forecast???
here is the forecast from the local open snow forecaster
Snow moves into New England on Friday night but will transition over to sleet and freezing rain across southern and central regions by Saturday morning. Snowfall accumulations of ~6–8"+ are expected across the northern Greens and Whites at elevation by Saturday night. Most of New England goes over to rain by Sunday and Monday.
We’ve got the place on Cape Cod and the wife wants to get up there…..so unless I tell her it’s skiing (she’s open to going to Placid) it’s gonna be the Cape.Jtg
Instead of fighting the weather in the Adirondacks, what about a surf session in Jersey? It will be an offshore wind I have no idea about the swell, but it will be quite warm.
Rain, sorryHow about West on Saturday? Rain?
All the models are pointing to a mess at WF...Up high could be snow for a while, but by early afternoon it's mixed or worseHow is that different than the kooky computer gen forecast? I’m not saying I’m going to head up, although I haven’t 100% ruled it out. However, Saturday could be a good to very good day and Sunday might not be that bad if rain is light and showery. Or the weekend could be no good terrible awful. It is intriguing.
It will not be a delugeI’ve decided it’ll be my second Indy Pass day at Catamount. If it’s gonna be in the rain, at least I can minimize my drive and financial outlay. I’m gonna fill a bag with extra gloves and see how long I can last
