Space Weather

Since there’s no Space Weather full bird topic yet & since Space Weather impacts our planet here’s a starting point.
Last month's launch looks like it gets instruments up to have a high tech look see.
When doppler radar started we learned a lot more about lake effect in The UpState.
They be trying to accurately predict Space Weather.

Someone turned the lights on.

Hopefully tonight is better for you. Last night was pretty active with a lot of pink and red colors some greens.

Tonight’s supposed to be the peak. Should be clearer in my area. I’ll have to take a drive to a more open area.
Lake clouds per usual had effect on light show here. We got clouded out during last April’s total eclipse to boot.

Here’s the moon shot.around midnight.

Shoulda shut the flash off but thought twas an interesting pic.
City lights both east & west light up the sky a lot around here, especially when there’s snow on the ground.

Checked the Gore Bear webcam for a looksee around midnight.

The lighter thingy 🍺was moving slowly and changing intensity above the horizon.

The local weather news lady said just after dark today might be our best time to see aurora in CNY & also said we’ll probably have some clouds. Oh well.
