Skiboards and Snowblades, Whats the Deal?

All I know is my buddy broke both legs on snow blades at the same time...never had any interest to try after that.
All those videos don’t show anymore ripping black diamonds lol. Once you go front or backseat there’s no recoveries.

So this guy seems like some sort of self appointed king of skiboards. He says skiboards are OG and makes fun of Snowblades and Big Feet. Says they are looked down upon in the ‘community’. Who knew? Sounds like some sort of pecking order. Also claims they spawned twin tips and park tricks. Apparently there are proud people out there ripping them even though they might be considered the mopeds of the ski world.
Since he fusses about whether or not flexing is possible for a proper skiboard, I think the idea behind a "ski skate" is that they are more like ice skates than skis.

Came across a big dude on something like these mini ski skates at Massanutten a few years ago. He liked to go fast. Didn't look like the type to have enough technique to carve. Doubt very much he'd ever bothered to take a lesson and probably thought falling often on full length skis was normal. Probably would get tired quickly even on the short blacks from the top. Probably got tired just carrying ski gear from the parking lot while wearing ski boots.

This incident was in the park hitting medium size kickers (we were 13/14 years old)...landed weird and with no binding release his legs went in some unique directions...1 femur and 1 compound tibia fracture...thats also when found out I dont do well with other peoples blood.
