I've been thinking about the upcoming change in my distance from the mountains.

Today I started a list of mountains I want to ski, and the time/distance from the cabin:

Some highlights for me:

Plattekill will be 40 minutes and 31 miles closer to me
Middlebury Snowbowl will be the closest ski area to me on the Green Mountain Spine (2 hours)
Jay Peak will be 230 minutes and 254 miles closer to me than it is now
Jay Peak will be ten minutes and 20 miles closer to me than Plattekill is now
When I come to Greek, you guys have to hook me up, since I came farther then Jay

Might want to think about more HP than mileage, when buying your new truck, to shorten those drive times. JS ;) ⛷️
 
That's just google maps data, so I could rank them. I was thinking about adding a column for MPH, just dividing Google maps distance by time, to give an idea of how "easy" the drive is.

I'm starting to think I should be using I88 when going from Plattekill to Gore, instead of Route 30. Yeah it's longer, but that drive on 30, and especially the end on Route 8 from Speculator... feels. so. long.
 
From my house (according to Google… times seem high)

Gore: 69 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes
West: 35 miles, 37 minutes
Platty: 88 miles, 1 hour 42 minutes

IKON Pass places for this year:
Stratton: 82 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes
Killington: 103 miles, 1 hour 58 minutes
Sugarbush: 129 miles, 2 hours 42 minutes

FYI Bristol where you golfed is not Bristol where you skied. They're actually about 17 miles apart and different owners.

Sadly Bristol Harbour resort where you golfed was closed by the new owners in Feb 2020. After buying it the new owners basically got mad at the town and some others and decided to go the ultimate FU route and they razed the restaurant, lodging and permanently close the course. Sad.

Yup.
My friend who I played with & gave us tickets to the PGA at Oak Hill this year lives near there now. Beautiful views and the one downhill holes is steep. Tis a very nice area. He used to ski but still golfs and keeps asking me to come over and ski Bristol. That’s why it’s on my list.
