On long straight skis!
There is an active club maintaining the Thunderbolt trail. Also a small museum in Adams. I watched a few short films there the first time I stayed at Jiminy Peak in the late fall. The woman who was the Naturalist who led easy hikes was active with the Thunderbolt at the time. Her father was one of the key players in the early days.
