Here's a video of both the uphill and downhill effort for the Thunderbolt on Mt. Greylock in the Berkshires. The trail was cut by the CCC. Apparently 4 miles round trip.

i am headed to ski some stuff i have been scouting on beaver dam rd. curious what you found in the helderberg's I parked at the snowmobile cross over and skinned up to the old ski area south of the road. There are the 2 big wide gently sloped trails and then the steep section in the woods above...

Great video. I've run Mt Greylock a few times, there's a trail race that used to send you DOWN the f'n Thunderbolt.

Chapeau to all who ski this. Trail cut when ski speeds were way lower than today.
