we have an issue where most abandon further mastery of the turn once they can accomplish toe to heal side slipping.

I'd be satisfied with mastering the 'don't sit five people across and block the whole damn trail' thing. Never saw a group of skiers do that.

Skiers don't really have a need to sit, the way snowboarders do.

While I think that things have changed somewhat I still expect that on average snowboarders are significantly younger than skiers.

OK, hands up class. Honestly, how many have skied MRG, and, if you have, how many times?

I think I went to every Telefest there, may have missed 1 or 2 lean years. Literally been through blood, sweat and tears along with tears in jackets there. The Wednesday night West Mt tribe went over and became known as the Potatoheads. That steep 2000' vertical wore you out, 19th Hole, Paradise, Octopus's Garden, bumps and all the other little shots. The Saturday night party was legendary, Lawsons Three Pin Grin, the band rocked. Dickie Hall went all out every year, met Josh Madsen the final year.

I was there for a PSIA event (many years ago) and it was some of the worst skiing conditions I've experienced to date.

Was that 2008? Breakable crust everywhere. I was right behind with Rick Svencer when he did his ACL.
