Caught a rope drop for Ballroom . . . on April 19. That was after the 4-day road closure the week before when temps were in the 50s by lunch time at the base. Had been just enough new snow to cover up frozen crud and avy debris if you knew where to go. Was a situation when it was good that the snow wasn't fluffy.

How about Devil's Castle with very, very few exposed rocks? Never opened the last week. Snow depth on Closing Day was almost 200 inches.
