Plattekill Conditions

Last night I got a texted video of Plattekill from @Armon, another Gore regular, branching out to a new mountain.

His first day a Plattekill, he called it a pow day.

Video backed it up.

Stoked. Would love to see this video!

There is no easy way that I know of, to upload a video in the forum. Operator error, not even sure how to get it off my phone.

Just imagine a grainy video with a small skier in the distance on Freefall, skiing in ankle deep snow.

Seeing is believing. From my perspective, this photo proves Vail Resorts has failed at Hunter. It also highlights the impact of Windham Mountain Club going semi-private. There’s not enough capacity to accommodate the New York metro area's skiers and riders in the Catskills. It's great that Plattekill is benefiting, but two mountains can't handle the overflow.

Was wondering that too, that's a long walk uphill.

Never rode the triple but the line didn't seem that bad. The lodge was bursting at the seems though

Expecting another big day got the corrals out

it started snowing around 12:30 and it got pretty good after 2 o'clock. We took a long lunch and skied last chair, and the last ninety minutes were excellent.
