Have a friend considering skiing Hunter on Friday. He's never been to Plattekill. Do current conditions warrant me suggesting he check it out instead of Hunter? He boards, likes trees, steeps, bumps but not icy stuff.

Wild day. You could hear ice falling of the branches and sliding down the crust between the trees. It was loud at times. Everything that got groomed was skiing nice though. Soft and easy hero snow.

Im sticking with 3 inches plus a crust. I’m pretty sure this spot was bare when I was up here on Monday.

The sun tried but failed. The fog hung around all day, never lifted much above mid mountain. Visibility was not ideal. All manageable though. Good day overall.
