Reno gets a bad rap from days gone by. Spent quite a bit of time there a few years ago, it's got a lot to offer and a lot of great outdoor activities close by. I stayed on the western side of the city most of the time, less than 45 minutes to Squaw/Alpine on good roads, Northstar 30 minutes, Sugar Bowl about an hour plus. Lake Tahoe and hour or less. Lots of walking and Biking trails. Decent climate. Wish I had bought something when the real estate crashed, it would be worth many times what stuff was going for then. Tesla Battery factory east of the city caused a crazy rush in the housing market, still going on today.I’m not sure I consider pimp to be the perfect job but I don’t know you. Different strokes and all. Have you considered Reno instead of Vegas? It’s a dump but at least it’s close to some great skiing.
Hey, different strokes. There were like a million other tourists there that probably disagree with me too. I don’t see the point in the place but I’m the first to admit, I’m a total weirdo!I dunno man. I've only been to Vegas once (for work) and had an absolute blast! Granted I didn't do much work and hung out with a friend of mine who lived there. She gave me a tour of Vegas I'll never forget. The highlight was listening to Steve Wynn, owner of The Wynn Casino (that's where I stayed) who is an incredible speaker. I'd go hear him speak again in a second. He spoke of customer service and brand imaging.
The other cool thing was visiting the Ferrari and Maserati dealership that is in the "basement" of the Wynn. Steve Wynn's opening line (it was a dealer meeting), "I'm a car dealer too as you may have noticed the Ferrari on the top of the building". The place roared with laughter.
Im witcha RA. I get it . Fine, no problemo for those that are into that sort of thing , but for me MEH not so much .Hey, different strokes. The mountain biking around Vegas is really freaking good from what I hear. There’s a small ski area up on Charleston too that has incredible looking side country terrain, when they have the snow of course. There’s red rocks park there as well and its packed with legendary climbing routes.Im witcha RA. I get it . Fine, no problemo for those that are into that sort of thing , but for me MEH not so much .
