Pass-holder only weekends?

Powder Mountain continues to radicalize. First they privatize a third of the mountain, and now they won't even sell tickets to normal people on February weekends. Note that they'll still give you a tour if you're looking to buy real estate there. It's a terrible business decision. Weekends in February have the highest demand, and on the highest demand days, you have to sell your highest yield product.
Powder mountain ceased being a normal for profit business when the group of SF techies bought it and tried to mold it into their agenda, and Hastings just said, F it, I'm taking it half private for me and my buddies. May or not succeed, who knows, the rich have their whims, until the accountants say, no more.

Somewhere in this formula is...

When Saturdays are no longer enjoyable for a majority of skiers, you have to do something.

X is right, that's not an issue at Plattekill.

If a Saturday was not enjoyable the people will not go.

A place like Bohemia is an oddity. Now, Powder is an oddity, too. Magic claims to limit tickets, but who really knows? It makes for great marketing. Now that they have the quad operating I cannot imagine they will be limiting tickets.

Powder is going that route this season on every weekend in February.
Here's what the day ticket prices look like as of Oct. 30 for February at PowMow. Certainly looks like Friday is the new Saturday.
