Old Ski Runs

Just before I discovered Highmount and Plattekill, I skied Mt. Cathalia often. Great little mountain known for their steeps. When I was still living down that way, I would drive up just to see the lifts and trails (after they closed for good) but the garbage dumpng started to piss me off.

Funny seeing them skiing down their tracks with all the fresh around them
Maybe a pitch issue? Doesn't look that steep, they aren't turning much.

Um, 1934… leather boots and Nordic style bindings, solid wood 7 foot long skis and no metal edges + they only get to ski when it actually snows and have to climb for every run so not a lot of repetition to hone technique. I‘d be looking for a set of railroad tracks to follow too.

Scotty (in better times) and me hiked Peterskill many times. Never been there when skiable.
Cool. You and Scotty go way back?
