Not enough H2O out West and too much back East

a) Pump the water in pipes from here to there.
b) Entice folks to move back but they can’t live in floodplains.

Not sure I agree with the assessment that there is too much water in the east.

Yeah, I looked on Wednesday and was surprised to find that we (Albany) were almost exactly at average. Obviously we’re a bit above average now, but it has certainly *felt* like we had gotten a lot of rain.

That’s one reason you can’t rely on your feelings and have to go on data.

If the average is a lot then we have a lot.
A drought around here is great, except in winter.
 
I've mentioned many times that living almost ten years in the arid west was plenty for me. I just got back from a week in Colorado -- I love to visit but most of the places with cities, big or small, aren't sustainable for big populations. People in Denver have had an entire summer of breathing hideous smoke-filled air from forest fires in California, even worse than the gagging brown-cloud years in the 1980s.

So nice to come back to clean, fresh air in New Jersey! :cool:
