Planning on taking the camper and bikes out to the UP this summer, figured I ask our resident Michigan NYSB's if there's anything off the beaten path we need to check out, tips, must see's or places to stay away from? Bringing the bikes, planning on doing kayak tours, and seems like lot's of good beers and eats along the way. Right now it looks like maybe 5-6 days by the time I back out the travel time... TIA

Just spotted this, Pictured Rocks imho is the best natural feature.
Should not be missed.
Mackinac island retro cool but t trap.Soo locks. Tahquamenon falls. Drummond Island
Western UP long drive, lighthouse's, mining, small waterfalls, pasties. Hug the lakes

A Leelenau Peninsula lost ski area in Michigan is trying to make a comeback for folks.

Gotta earn yer turns.
"The vision for “new Sugar Loaf,” Nelson shared, is “to create a place where everyone can take in the natural wonders of the Leelanau Peninsula from the ground up to the summit,” totally free of charge."
Free is good.

Yea Ive seen videos of Superior swells, it's actually an inland sea it's so big. It was calm and clear when we were there, even caught glimpses of shipwrecks while kayaking

After some buff mtb we headed to the Traverse City Cherry Festival and Soo Locks

I want to be a bike porter when I grow up (No cars or even throttled e-bikes on the island)

Lots of good beers, fried perch and pasties were consumed
