Michigan Conditions

Boyne Mtn has started to make snow.
As of today, Nov. 9, first ticket available is Dec. 5. OnTheSnow is projecting Nov. 28. Do you think Boyne Mountain is trying to open before Thanksgiving?

Doesn't look great for snowmaking after Nov. 11.

EDIT: Ikon Open/Close webpage says Dec. 5 for Boyne Mountain, as of Nov. 8.

Not sure about an opening date, but all the bigger places in Northern Michigan have started to blow snow. Hopefully they get some piles built up

Pine Knob, Alpine Valley and Mt Holly have opened up for the season in SE Michigan. I looks like a lot more ski areas will open this weekend. I personally will be going to Caberfae Peaks on Sunday. Looking forward to getting my ski season started.

I started my season on Sunday at Caberfae Peaks and I can honestly say it was the best opening day snow I have ever skied on. The snow was like skiing in mid January.

Nice.
Ferris State is not far from there.
Hotty Toddy.

Beautiful pictures, Ted, yeah you got a nice fresh snowfall there. Also after Saturday’s opening day, I got the best of all worlds, fresh snow sunshine, fresh powder here and there. It’s good to be alive my friend!
Now the question is are Arlos bloody Mary still six dollars?
Looking forward to meeting back up with you this year Ted been a while

Tyroll, short story here. I live about 40 minutes from big Rapids where Ferris state is. actually, my niece went there and became a doctor of pharmacology. I guess it’s called describing drugs whatever. And I got to meet the coach of the football team who has won the division two national champion several times now forget his name but a few years ago, he came up and started talking to me when I was a starter ranger at a local top 10 golf course in the state and he invited me to come and stay on the sidelines, which I never did because of my size and girth. We talked some intense football discussion . He actually built the house only 15 minutes from me, Tony Tony, something Agnesi

Yea between grand Valley State University and Ferris we represent Michigan pretty well on division two football. My claim to the fame is when I was in the car business. I sold Brian Kelly a car actually a mini van back in the late 90s when he was coach at GVSU little did I know he was going to go to Notre Dame and LSU and then get fired.
Sorry for the thread hijack Ted you know me.
By the way, I did buy the Mount Bohemia pass and have plans to do the upper Peninsula if there’s anybody out there and New York area that wants to come try a little Boho I would be happy to join up with you the end of February
