I read things like this and think, "how much science went into saying that the south west will be drier than normal....." It seems as obvious as the Detroit Lions not making the playoffs. You need not be an NFL pundit to come up with that one.

What I got out of the article is that in the seven prior El Nina winters, the Northeast got below average snowfall three times, above average snowfall three times and about average snowfall once. So you're telling me there's a chance!

Looking way out the GFS doesn't show a cold storm until the middle of the month.

They’re saying there will be a pattern change & it will get cold at the end of the month. That’s like 2-3 solid weeks of snowmaking before they shut it down during Presidents’ Week.
