It's Time to Ski New York

The lowest hanging fruit is CNY:
I will be watching the weather religiously, but would appreciate CNY peeps contributing to this thread to help me plan and pull the trigger. As much as possible, I want to hit them when there is new snow.

It would likely be two nights to ski Lab and Song and Skaneateles. Lodging recs welcome too. Is Gatherings in Cortland still open?
It’d be good to ski ya at Song and Lab. Both have night skiing.
I’ve yet to ski Skan but it looks like a fun bump on a nice east facing valley.
Song’s usually closed Mondays so if ya time it correctly ya can get at fresh on Tuesdays sometimes.
Lake effect bands wobble & are sometimes hard to predict.
I usually do most all my skiing at Song/Lab midweek from after The Holidays until the season's over.

(Finishing) the house has added some complication to this project.

But I still want to accomplish a lot this winter. The lowest hanging fruit is CNY:

I'd probably hit Val Bialas as a day trip, if @Robert would meet me.

Harvey, did you get an Indy Pass this year? If so you should hit Caz as well.

I'll ski Caz pass or no.

Will you ski it with me?

Will you ski it with me?
I'd be happy to! Keep me in the loop on your schedule.

I should tell you that I'm not a true Caz local. I had never been before last season.

What are the rules for skiing? When can the public ski? Or who do I talk to about getting a pass?

@Scoobert if you could keep me in the loop about when Caz is really in, I'd appreciate it!

Same with Val Bialas.

They open Sat/Sun 9-4. Members and Indy pass holders only. They did one weekend open to the public last year. Not sure if that's a regular event. Members and Indy pass holders can bring +1s.

Can do. The CNY LE machine can make for happy days.

For several years my goal has been to ski every ski area in NY. After Jan 1, this will be a more realistic goal.

Thought of @jamesdeluxe when I read this piece about another local bump.
