ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

Hmmm?🤔
I think this is a great idea to have a basic electric vehicle at a low price. My question is; when you start loading up all of the options to say make it an SUV ( seats, roof, etc.) does the cost eventually double and you would be just as smart to just buy an SUV to begin with?
Their website shows you all of the options which make the vehicle very flexible but at what cost? Camp may have some insight being in the auto business.

It's been my experience that getting an "advertised" vehicle is extremely difficult. The factory will claim they're available only to find out dealers cannot stock them the way they're advertised. Meaning, they would have to be special ordered and not in stock. Manufactures put restrictions on dealers as to what they can order for stock, they call them "orderable combinations". Quite amusing, really. Not to mention extremely frustrating for the consumer. Cause, you know --- car dealers always lie.

Yeah that's my question. Bolting on parts after the fact won't be as nice as something that was designed for it from the ground up. For example a tablet that isn't integrated into the car's functionality, or two speakers in the front only. How would the AC even work for the SUV extension?

I think it will be D2C so no dealers AFAIK

In the website they have some inspo designs. I do think it would be great as an open air beach buggy, or a small business transport
