How many ski forums do you keep up with?

First Tracks looks like it’s got some good content. I haven’t seen much of value on FB, though Lifties of the World Unite is amusing at times. All I know about Alpinezone is the mockery it gets on TGR. Anything of value there? How about Killingtonzone?

Mostly here, a little AZ, and I don't hate /r/icecoast on Reddit...a lot of silly/repetitive posts, but it is pretty active so can be useful at times.

TGR does have breadth. I look at it mainly during our summer because there is always some South America content, notably by CaseyE, who grew up in Calgary but has lived in Santiago for decades. We had a lunch with him in Dec. 2021 when we were on our way to an eclipse flight from Punta Arenas.

James will chime in about Alpinforum for the Alps. It's in German so you have to put it in Google Translate and flip back and forth between the translation and the pics in the original post. Pics are extensive in that forum. James uses Alpinforum a lot as he is fluent in German.

Even though I don't live or ski in NY, NYSB is one of my regular stops on the Interwebz. Nice people, great content. Don't post as much as I used too, but there you go. Getting lazy in my old age. Also TGR, especially The Padded Room (for entertainment) and the East Coast and Ontario threads. I used to post a bit on AZ but gave up. In non-skiing forums, I lurk regularly and post rarely on a couple of canoeing forums, as well as on the Ocean Racing Thread on Sailing Anarchy, but only when The Ocean Race is on, which is now. If you are into sailing even in a small way, it is worth following.

FB is abysmal source of ski interaction compared to ski forums. There is no organization whatsoever by topic groups, and forget about finding anything worthwhile that was posted more than a month (maybe a week?) ago.

I guess I should mention the late EpicSki forum, which Vail shut down in May 2017. One of their former admins started SkiTalk, which has maybe 20% of EpicSki's activity, which is still considerable. He's very autocratic and thin-skinned and banned me for life in December 2017.
